Techniques for Investigative Journalism will be led by PWAC Quebec member, co-founder and current president of the Canadian Centre for Investigative Reporting Alex Roslin.
His workshop will cover the basic investigative reporting techniques that can be used in all kinds of stories, from short articles to in-depth, long-form projects .

I attended the fascinating Second Citizen Media Rendez-Vous event here in Montreal a couple of weeks ago here. At the event I met several freelancers and media gurus for the first time, as well as running into some familiar faces – including Craig Silverman of OpenFile and Veena Gokhale, a media freelancer who attended the last All Media Mixer event.

Montréal’s 2nd Citizen Media Rendez-Vous, which was held yesterday, Monday, August 23, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. (http://citizen-media.ca).

Bringing together bloggers, engaged filmmakers, citizen journalists, media experts, independent media practitioners the event featured a morning invite-only mash up networking session, and two panel discussions during which attendants learned about how citizen media is being practised around the world to better inform and mobilize the public.
