Being busy with (well-paying) work is a key part of any freelance businessperson’s success. But sometimes, too much work means having to pass up, or at least, sub-contract interesting jobs.
Hopefully, when Mediaville’s redesigned, interactive Marketplace comes online in the next few months, providing job leads to fellow media pros of various specialties will be a lot easier.

Back by popular demand, we’re organizing another freelancer meet and greet next month. Our last event was such a success — about 30 freelance professionals in print, video, radio, web and mobile media, whether creative, journalistic or corporate — how could we resist?
This is the second of two posts in which Patrick Tanguay, Co-founder of Station C, location of the recent Mediaville All-Media Mixer, answers a few questions to help freelancers better understand the concept of coworking, and see why working in a professional, creative space like Station C beats the distractions of the home office or the coffee shop.
Those that attended the Mediaville All-Media Mixer, already know Station C. An excellent workspace, Station C made quite an impression with many of the freelancers in attendance, so it’s time to recap how the space operates, why it’s good for freelancers and to take look at a few other interesting points about the space.

Last night’s All Media Mixer event was excellent – I’m still buzzing from it!
There was a fantastic turnout, with a great spread of media freelancers encompassing a range of talents and industries.
