Blogger, Montreal Buzz: Gay Life and Culture
The Montreal Buzz is Tourisme Montreal’s blog about everything great going on in Montreal (campaign is managed by Sid Lee). Needed immediately is an experienced, energetic writer/blogger to write about Gay Life and Culture in Montreal. Examples of the kinds of articles needed can be found here. Experience with social media is vital. The job would involve researching and writing several posts a week on the subject. Position needs to be filled immediately.

AELAQ workshop: Online Marketing for Publishers and Writers

The English-Language Publishers Association of Quebec (better known by its French acronym, AELAQ) presents:

Maya Assouad, marketing manager for Véhicule Press, will be conducting an intensive, hands-on follow-up session to 2010 web marketing workshop. Receive personalized feedback in this half-day class in the Atwater Library’s computer classroom.

Is your website doing its job? How can you use your website to its best advantage? Are you finding or creating new ways to market your books using new technology? Do you use social network websites (such as Facebook and Twitter) to market your books? Find out how to combine tradition with innovation and smoothly incorporate new marketing practices.

Session will begin at 1:00pm and end at 4:30pm, with two ten-minute breaks.
