Freelancing

Speaking of social media, updating your blog, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and all your other accounts can be daunting, not to mention time consuming.

TweetDeck allows you to post to multiple platforms — Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, FourSquare and Google Buzz — from a single, desktop application.

But, what about connecting a WordPress blog (like this)? Fear not, fellow blogger, because there’s dlvr.it. It automatically posts the title and a link from your latest blog post to multiple destinations, such as Twitter. You could also set it up to post from Twitter to your blog, using the handy filter function to avoid cross-posting the same content twice (or creating an infinite loop that would disrupt the space time continuum!)

Happy blogging/tweeting bleeting!

I use dlvr.it to power @habsnews (http://twitter.com/habsnews) – I’ve been with them since the private beta, and what they’ve done is pretty great. Their customer service is excellent too, I’ve interacted with them a lot in the early days to report bugs and suggest features, and they were always appreciative and helpful – they even sent me free stickers! When compared to other similar services like HootSuite and TwitterFeed, I think they it’s everyone’s benefits to hear about them even if it’s simply to consider an alternative.
