Wow!
Last night’s All Media Mixer event was excellent – I’m still buzzing from it!
There was a fantastic turnout, with a great spread of media freelancers encompassing a range of talents and industries.
Thanks to everyone who attended and helped to make the event a success. It was a real pleasure to meet so many interesting people who are in the Montreal freelancing community, and to hear about all the amazing projects that they are working on.
A very big thank you to Giancarlo for taking the time and putting so much energy into organising the event. Also to Dan and Patrick at Station C for hosting the event, and to the resident freelancers who put up with our loud banter.
There are plans in the works for more events later in the year. So stay tuned to the blog here – we’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime we’d love to hear from you – any feedback from the event, things that have sprung out of new connections, any other realted interesting information or ideas you want to share, or simply to keep in touch.
Drop us a line either at info@mediaville.ca (Giancarlo) blog@mediaville.ca (Dan).
If you’d like your name added to our freelancer network list, then email me, Dan at blog@mediaville.ca. Remember to include some quick details about your freelancing industry, specialities and any organisations/associations you belong to. Also add any social networks and social media links (facebook, linkedIn,Twitter, youtube, skype et al).
Several people have asked about contributions to the blog, and yes, we do accept them. Again, drop a line to me here at the blog.
The main themes are freelancing as (business or craft), media (working in, developments, interesting stuff about), coworking, and collaboration (particularly cross industry collaborative freelancing partnerships).
I’m also doing interviews with people who are in really interesting niches, association representatives and employers – so if you’ve got something that you’d like to share, then I am definitely all ears.
Thank you all again, and have a great weekend – you deserve it!
